Consulting Together - Financial Literacy Program Assistant Intern

 

Objectives

CTCO is seeking a motivated college student to assist with the development and implementation of our financial literacy curriculum, targeting kindergarten through fifth-grade students, and students between the ages of 13-17. This volunteer role will involve collaborating with our program staff to formulate engaging content, maintain accurate student records using OpenSIS, and contribute to the program's overall success. 

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and developing age-appropriate financial literacy curriculum
• Research creative learning activities that enhance financial concepts for K-5 students
• Research creating learning activities that enhance financial concepts for students between the ages of 13-17
• Organize and update student demographic information, ensuring data accuracy in OpenSIS
• Maintain student attendance and participation records
• Collaborate with the program coordinator to streamline curriculum materials
• Ensure documentation follows confidentiality and data privacy requirements
• Participate in occasional meetings and fun-filled activities with students to provide updates and insights on curriculum progress


Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university, ideally with coursework in education, finance, business, or a related field
• Passionate about education and community development
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Experience with or willingness to learn OpenSIS or similar student management systems
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills" related fields.

 

Time, Place & Commitment

"Remotely; Monday - Fridays, based on student's availability.
When meeting or assisting with student activities, these will be held at our local Leon County partner schools."

The student is needed for Spring, Summer, and Fall Semesters, at least 10 hours per week. This will allow the students to receive training and supervision from our staff to enhance their knowledge relative to our Financial Literacy program and build a relationship with our partners, First Commerce Credit Union, and Leon County Schools for future opportunities. In addition, this will allow the student to assist us with the transition to the new intern, when applicable, by allowing the student to train the new incoming intern effectively.
