 Commission on the Status of Women and Girls (CSWG) - You love policy and research and have an organizational way of thinking.  You will work on policy and data research, will attend public meetings with both the city and county commissions and the school board. Learn best practices on policy and funding related to women and girls and provide general administrative support. 

 Hours

Part-time internship preferred. There is some flexibility with hours. You will work 10 - 15 hours a week.

Girls’ Empowerment Intern- This is a perfect opportunity for those pursuing mental health-related majors (Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, etc.) You will be fully immersed in the inner workings of our agency. Our Girls Empowerment Interns facilitate Girls Circle peer support groups, manage community tabling/outreach, coordinate and present our in-school Trailblazers program, perform administrative and cleaning duties around the office, help us develop creative projects, and help with social media brainstorming/projects. 

Hours

Full-time internships preferred. There is some flexibility with hours, but you must be available in the afternoon between 1:30 PM and 6:30 PM. 

Marketing/Communications Intern-

You will be learning how to develop and implement new creative strategies to enhance communication within the organization and how to further our impact on the community. Working with the Marketing Coordinator, you will be able to learn how to manage social media platforms, conduct outreach, create promotional content, and enhance your networking skills. Previous knowledge of Adobe programs, Wordpress, and Canva is necessary. You will be creating flyers for all audiences based on our mission and programs. You will be directed to create icons, graphics for the use of the website and have to put it into our website. If you like to plan, strategize, and be creative... you will be a great fit! 

Hours

Preferred hours are 9 AM - 3 PM or 10 AM - 4 PM, 15 - 20 hours a week

Events Intern-Spring is a busy time for Oasis and we are looking for an outgoing, dynamic, and organized intern to help us with our events. Your main focus will be on the Trailblazer Luncheon, Celebration of Women and Girls and Girls Can Do Anything Summer Camp. You might also do outreach events in the community. You’ll get to work closely with our Marketing Coordinator and the Marketing/Communications Intern to carry our message out into the community. If you love planning events and talking to people, this might be the perfect opportunity for you. 

Hours

Preferred hours are 9 AM - 3 PM or 10 AM - 4 PM, 20 - 25 hours a week. Must be available for our two annual events and occasional outreach events that could be held nights and weekends. (Confirmed dates/times will be discussed during interviews.) 

Women’s Empowerment Intern I -Spend your internship working on both the administrative and clinical side of Oasis’ micro private practice. You will work with the Women’s Empowerment Coordinator to support our contracted licensed counselors by scheduling new clients, holding intake appointments and maintaining confidential client files. Interns will also run a weekly virtual group and have a small number of individual counseling clients that they will work with through their internship. At this time this position is only open to Masters level Social Work students.

Hours

Part-time internships over two semesters preferred. There is some flexibility with hours, but you must be available on Thursdays between 5:00 and 8:00 PM and one additional evening for two hours. (Confirmed dates/times will be discussed during interviews.) 

Women’s Empowerment Intern II- This is a perfect opportunity for those in Early Childhood Education because you will be working very closely with the children we serve. You’ll be working with our Women’s Empowerment Coordinator as part of the babysitting team for our Single Mothers Support Group. You will receive Conscious Discipline training and be given ample opportunity to learn and develop your new skills.

Hours

Part-time internships only. There is some flexibility with hours, but you must be available on Thursdays between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM. 3 - 5 hours a week.
