The Volunteer Managers Meet-up brought together coordinators from various organizations, some included Volunteer Florida, Big Bend Hospice, Leon County LeRoy Collins Public Library and Capital Area Healthy Start, to share experiences, discuss challenges, and explore new strategies for engaging volunteers. Attendees shared strategies to continue to inspire and retain volunteers, along with effective approaches to recognizing their contributions during Volunteer Appreciation Month. The discussion highlighted the importance of collaboration, strong professional networks, and continuous support for those managing various volunteer programs. After the meeting, all attendees had clear, actionable ideas for enhancing communication, building a stronger sense of community, and using technology to simplify volunteer coordination. The meet-up served as a meaningful opportunity for professional development and peer support among leaders.

Overall, the meet-up highlighted how meaningful partnerships between organizations can broaden outreach and impact. By recognizing shared priorities and leveraging complementary strengths, participants identified new opportunities for collaborative volunteer efforts and cross-promoting programs. This spirit of collaboration not only benefits individual organizations but also contributes to a stronger, more connected volunteer network across Leon County. Attendees walked away with a renewed sense of the power of teamwork and an understanding that staying connected will be essential for maintaining progress and fostering lasting community impact.
