Who We Are
Grace Mission is a transformational ministry of the forgotten which has been located in the heart of the City for almost twenty years, at the corner of Bronough & Brevard Sts. Grace Mission provides hot meals, counseling, social opportunities, laundry & personal hygiene services, a monthly clothing give-away and children's high impact educational programs. Grace Mission is open, inclusive and challenging. Our volunteer diversity includes all ages, races, genders and denominations who share a passion for service. From investment of your time & talents at Grace Mission everyone receives exponential return.
What We Do
We operate the largest USDA-certified Soup Kitchen in Leon County as well as the largest USDA-certified Mobile Food Pantry, the One Campaign. Additionally an organic garden is tended on our campus that supplements our hot meals while being utilized as a nutritional teaching tool with both our children and adults. In 2017 we served over 40,000 meals. We also provide an After-School Program for our neighborhood's under-privileged children, grades 1 - 5, that includes one-on-one tutoring by FSU & FAMU students. Our After-School Program offers Summer Camp and a Summer Reading Academy. Giveaways of toiletries, underwear, socks & t-shirts occur three days a week. Clothing giveaways occur on the second Wednesday of the month. All this and more is happening at Grace Mission and no fees of any kind are ever charged for food or services. We are Open, Inclusive and Challenging for all, using over 20,000 volunteer hours annually.
