DRMI delivers transformative programs and community
initiatives that strengthen individuals and uplift neighborhoods: Life & behavioral
health programs: including anger management (Control the Fire), substance
misuse recovery (Reclaiming Freedom), Breaking Chains trauma-informed support
for youth and adults. Youth Development: Our Geeks & Gramps Program
connects youth (ages 8–18) with older adults to build digital skills,
confidence, and meaningful relationships—bridging the generational and digital
divide. Reentry & Corrections Support: Programs for incarcerated
individuals and returning citizens focused on accountability, life skills, and
successful reintegration. Community Outreach Events: Our annual Frenchtown
Renaissance and Street Corner Giveaway provide essential resources—food,
clothing, hygiene items, and connections to local services—for over 100
residents each year. Innovative Learning Experiences: Including our Virtual
Reality (VR) engagement activities that expose youth and older adults to
emerging technology. At our core, DRMI is hands-on. Our board, staff, and
volunteers actively serve—creating real pathways to healing, growth, and
opportunity in the community.
