Who We Are

Goat House Farm is a 501(c)(3) FarmHer operated micro-dairy in a rural area of Tallahassee on the beautiful Lake Talquin. The farm has its humble beginnings in the summer of 2015 with four acres, four goats, and four chickens. Founded on the love of animals and a passion for sustainability, we remain committed to compassionate practices and the most natural care of our land and animals as possible. As stewards of the land and herd, we believe we have a responsibility to share nature’s blessings. We offer several agritourism opportunities on the farm, from farmstays to day visits.  We are also home to Leon County's 4H Youth Dairy Goat Project.  It is our goal to create a space where our visitors can have fun and learn about the animals who share that space. We also strive to serve as a valuable resource for first time goat owners. Volunteers of all ages are welcome.

All volunteers can receive credit for two days of camping at no cost for every eight hours worked.  Please remember to check in and out to track your time.

We meet the requirements for court mandated community service and will be happy to provide an official letter of all hours worked at the completion of your service.

Failure to cancel any shifts you have signed up for at least 24 hours before the start of that shift will result in removal from any future shifts.

What We Do

Our primary goals are:

-To establish standards and communicative strategies for first time goat owners based on scientific best practices and holistic care.

-To develop and build community educational programs on goat husbandry centered around compassion, empathy, and environmental awareness.

-To improve community wellness through goat-assisted therapeutic services.

-To partner with nonprofit organizations in order to align shared missions and services.
