This exciting volunteer position is ideal for volunteers who would like to work directly with the CARE puppies/dogs. The goal of puppy class is to start our puppies off on the right foot with socialization, basic manners training, and mental stimulation. Volunteers will learn about and implement positive reinforcement training techniques. Although volunteers will not be working within the veterinary hospitals, they will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of medical conditions as each animal in the CARE program has required medical/surgical care.

All volunteers are required to attend an orientation session prior to their first shift. These orietations are held three times per year. If your application is approved, the volunteer coordinator will contact you with an invitation to orientation.
All volunteers for CARE must be over 18 years of age.
CARE is not able to accomodate court-ordered community service volunteers.
