Leon County is hosting a shoreline clean up of Lake Henrietta in celebration of Earth Day. Taking advantage of low water levels due to the Lake Munson drawdown, volunteers will work together to remove litter from the exposed shoreline. The clean up will also include an educational presentation of Leon County's intentional features, such as the trash trap, that help protect our waterways year-round.

When: Saturday, April 22, 2023, starting at 9 a.m.
Where: Anita Davis Park, 3305 Springhill Road
What to bring: Waterproof bag, bug spray, sunscreen, reusable water bottle
What to wear: Comfortable clothes and shoes
What you’ll do: Volunteers will remove litter from the exposed shoreline of Lake Henrietta
