Tutor with STEMS4Girls – Flexible Hours, Real Impact!
Do you have a passion for helping students succeed in school? Do you want to give back in a meaningful, personalized way—on a schedule that works for you?
STEMS4Girls is looking for compassionate, patient, and motivated volunteers or interns to serve as One-on-One Tutors for elementary and middle school students, primarily girls from under-resourced communities.
You’ll work closely with a student to provide academic support in math, reading, or science, helping build both skills and confidence. Best of all? Sessions are scheduled based on your availability and the student’s needs.
What You’ll Do:
- Work one-on-one with a student in a virtual or in-person setting (based on preference/availability)
- Provide academic support in core subjects like math, reading, writing, or science
- Help reinforce classroom learning and build strong foundational skills
- Offer encouragement, mentorship, and positive reinforcement
- Communicate with the STEMS4Girls team to track progress and adjust learning strategies
- Be a consistent and supportive presence in a student’s academic journey
Flexible Commitment: Schedule based on your availability and the student’s -- Minimum 6-week commitment encouraged for continuity and impact Ideal for volunteers, college students, or education majors looking to gain experience in tutoring or youth mentoring
Ideal Tutors:
- Have strong skills in math, reading, or science (no teaching degree required!)
- Are patient, encouraging, and dependable
- Are comfortable working with children ages 7–13
- Want to make a real difference in one child’s educational path
