Got 6–8 hours a week to spare? Are you ready to make a difference, represent your school, and build valuable experience working with kids? Join STEMS4Girls—a fast-growing, high-energy after school program focused on STEM literacy for elementary students, especially girls from under-resourced communities.

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers and interns to assist with our STEM Literacy Saturdays—a 5-hour immersive enrichment session filled with learning, fun, and mentorship.

What You’ll Do:

  • Teach and support hands-on STEM lessons based on Florida Math and English curriculum standards
  • Create and lead engaging activities that spark curiosity and confidence in kids ages 7–11
  • Serve healthy snacks and assist with setup and cleanup
  • Help develop and execute lesson plans as part of a collaborative team
  • Participate in at least one community outreach event during your term
  • Build leadership, teaching, and program coordination skills in a real-world setting

Whether you're passionate about science, love working with kids, or want to explore education, youth development, or nonprofit work—this role offers something meaningful and exciting for everyone.

Commitment: 6-week minimum per semester (Fall, Spring, or Summer) Participate in 6 or more sessions to qualify for a reference letter

Prior experience in teaching, tutoring, summer camps, or after school programs is a plus—but not required!

  • High school seniors looking to give back and build their resumes
  • Community members who believe in STEM education and youth empowerment
