Did you know that students who participate in mentoring and/or college readiness programs are more successful in college?
At TCC Take Stock in Children, we provide mentoring, student advocacy and college readiness programs. Our college prep workshops are held on the campus of Tallahassee Community College one Saturday each month. Take Stock students from Leon, Gadsden and Wakulla Counties participate in a variety of workshops geared toward preparing them for the transition between middle and high school and through college.
This volunteer experience is to serve as a Group Leader. Our group leaders take a group of students from one classroom to another. They also interact with the students and assist the workshop instructors with monitoring student sign-in and classroom management. We meet from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm.
