Description

The Knott House Museum will be open for tours for Veterans Day, Friday, November 11, 2016 from noon to 4:00p.m.. The Knott House will offer home front activities relating to World War II. Judge James R. Knott served in the Navy during the War, and Mrs. Knott wrote poems to help raise war bonds for both world wars.

Volunteers will assist museum staff by interpreting the various activities set up in the rooms and to facilitate guests’ tour of the house. This is a great learning opportunity for guests and volunteers alike, and the interactive objects tell quite a story!

Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian of 18 years or older.

The Museum cannot provide a volunteer opportunity in the case of persons having been convicted of, or pled no contest, or been found guilty of a crime that is a felony or misdemeanor, or is seeking court-ordered community service hours.
