Title:
Tourism Sports Council Intern Intern
Major Objectives:
The Tourism Development Department is responsible for promoting the Tallahassee area and region through marketing research, public relations, direct sales, visitor service functions, and tourism advertising. The Department serves to represent the interests of local tourism sponsors/patrons and to enhance Leon County’s tourism economy.
Responsibilities:
Promote the Tallahassee area and region through Sport Event Management, marketing research, public relations, direct sales, visitor service functions, and tourism advertising. The Department serves to represent the interests of local tourism sponsors.
Qualifications:
Prefer Sports, Management Public Relations, or Marketing majors but mostly looking for students who are willing to work and go the extra mile. Punctuality, professionalism, and willingness to learn and contribute are key.
Time and Place:
Monday through Friday, and on certain occasions, Saturday. Hours vary. Minimum of 20 hours/week.
Commitment:
One academic semester, but preference will be given to those who can commit to two consecutive semesters, due to extensive training.
