The 9/11 Day of Remembrance and Service on Thursday, September 8 at 11 a.m. has been POSTPONED due to Hurricane Hermine recovery efforts. A further update will be provided at a later time.
In keeping with the "National Day of Service", volunteers will be asked to sign up to write thank you notes and assemble military care packages for local soldiers on deployment. Volunteer registration and sign in begins at 10:30 a.m. and the formal ceremony begins at 11 a.m. with service projects immediately following. Volunteers will be treated to a lunch by Leon County Public Works employees.
