Who We Are
We are a faith-based organization that strives to reduce hunger, homelessness, and isolation by providing food, shelter, and social interaction through collaborative efforts within the Tallahassee community.
What We Do
Good News Outreach is a faith-based organization dedicated to relieving physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual suffering to those within our surrounding community. Here at Good News Outreach, we aspire to provide services to those who might not otherwise receive them, whether from other non-profit organizations or governmental agencies. We accomplish this mission through our four programs: Food Service, Elder Care, the Mercy House, and the Maryland Oaks Crossing community. In 1986, our mission started as a simple soup kitchen located in Frenchtown that served lunch to 100 homeless during the week. Today, our mission has expanded to not only assist those overcoming hardships, but also to help individuals and families move towards independence and self-sufficiency.
