Mission
The mission of the Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement is to contribute to the successful retention and graduation of undergraduate students who have been disadvantaged by virtue of economic or educational circumstances.

Vision
Motivate and prepare targeted middle/high school students to pursue higher education. Recruit, prepare, and support targeted first generation college students for successful adaptation and academic success at the undergraduate level.

The Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement (CARE) at the Florida State University.  CARE is a multifaceted center that provides preparation, orientation and academic support programming for students who are among the first in their family to attend college and may face unique challenges in college because of economic and educational circumstances.
