Capital City Youth Development Corporation

CCYDC generally uses volunteers for special community events and programs. All volunteers must be at least 15, with reliable transportation and willing to undergo a background screening. Orientations are generally held an hour before each event. All volunteers must be well-spoken, cordial and properly attired. There is generally lifting of 15 pounds or more involved, paperwork in some cases and a lot of community members involved.

The Capital City Youth Development Corporation (CCYDC) is a nonprofit organization located in Tallahassee, Florida founded for the purposes of ensuring the well-being of youth through mentoring, promoting the benefits of volunteerism and social responsibility and educating them about risky behaviors that lead to low academic achievement, delinquency, pregnancy and disease.
