Who We Are
Though the majority of direct services are provided by Lead Agencies in the Planning and Service Area, the Area Agency on Aging for North Florida does provide services to seniors and caregivers through the following programs:
- Aging and Disability Resource Center Elder Helpline
- Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders (SHINE)
- Elder Abuse Awareness/ Prevention
- Senior Health and Wellness
Accepting Volunteers: 18+ when needed
What We Do
The Area Agency on Aging for North Florida is a private, non-profit corporation. Our primary goals are to advocate on behalf of the elderly and provide support programs and services which help older individuals remain independent in their own home.
Mission Statement: The mission of the Area Agency on Aging for North Florida, Inc. is to plan coordinate, and advocate for programs and services which promote the independence, dignity, health, and well being of seniors and caregivers.
