Ability1st (Center for Independent Living of North Florida)

Ability1st, the Center for Independent Living of North Florida, is a community-based nonprofit organization that provides services to persons with varying disabilities. Our mission is to empower people with disabilities to live independently and enhance their quality of life.

Through our Access to Independence program, we assist individuals in obtaining durable medical equipment, incontinence products, and other supplies necessary to better manage their disability.  We also build ramps and steps, helping our Consumers with mobility challenges gain better access in and out of their homes. Ability1st serves Leon, Jefferson, Madison, Taylor, Gadsden, and Wakulla counties.
