Grace Mission is seeking a culinary assistant to assist the Chef in planning and preparing for large volume hot meal preparation and service at Grace Mission five days a week; and to maintain and monitor inventory and pantry rotation ensuring adherence to USDA guidelines for food storage and use. The number of people fed varies between 60 – 150 depending on the meal, time of the year and weather.

Ability to communicate well with others in a supervisory role and food manager certification is desired.

Grace Mission is seeking an experienced webmaster to maintain current social media presence on our website, facebook and other platforms to inform and educate current and potential volunteers, donors and advocates for Grace Mission.

Duties will include:

Maintain Grace Mission website and social media sites with current information supplied by staff Update the sites within 2 days of receipt of submitted information and communicate back to sender to ensure accuracy of updates Provide monthly statistics on number of visits/comments on websites along with suggestions to increase visibility and effectiveness of our messaging Keep up with your volunteer hours for our reports and send us a total of your hours on a monthly basis

Qualified candidates will have experience in creating and managing websites and social media.

Grace Mission is seeking an assistant volunteer coordinator to increase the effectiveness of the Grace Mission Volunteer recruitment, retention and recognition program.

Areas of support include:

General Office:

Answering phones, taking messages, returning calls, greeting visitors, receiving donations Operating a variety of office equipment including copier, desktop computer, multi-line phone and fax machine

Volunteer Program Support:

Receiving and reviewing volunteer applications Preparing orientation materials, setting appointments and conducting tours Participating in recruitment events Assisting with volunteer recognition activities.

Special Event support:

Assist with planning and participate in special events including fundraisers, holiday dinners, and quarterly food giveaways.

Grace Mission is seeking a janitor helper to assist Sexton with keeping building and grounds in clean, safe and orderly condition and to assist with performing heavy cleaning duties and routine maintenance activities and notify priest of needed repairs.

The ideal candidate will make a commitment to serve 4-8 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months for the hours listed.

Qualifications desired:

Reliable and dependable Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to understand and follow directions Ability to complete assigned projects Ability to comply with all safety guidelines including adhering to safe handling of household chemicals and use of personal protective equipment as recommended (gloves, eye protection, hearing protection, protective garments and footwear)

Grace Mission Needs Volunteers to manage our thrice-weekly laundry & shower services for the homeless.

To keep the shower process on time and fair and equitable to all. To maintain the shower and laundry area and ensure that linens are collected, washed and prepared for reuse. To maintain an ongoing inventory of toiletries, T-shirts and underwear in the dispensary storage closet and report needs for resupply.

Must be dependable, detail-oriented and able to communicate with all kinds of people. Specialized training is required for this position.

Can volunteer a single time, once a quarter,month or week or three times weekly.

Tuesday: 2:45 pm – 4:30 pm

Thursday: 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Saturday: 8:15 am – 9:15 am
