Volunteer: Nature Store Manager

Do you love visiting the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge? Have you enjoyed shopping in the Refuge’s well-appointed Nature Store? Are you interested in joining a great team of Nature Store volunteers who also love the Refuge and helping visitors? Do you want to help the Friends of St. Marks Wildlife Refuge support the wildlife and educational work at St. Marks NWR?

The Friends of St. Marks Wildlife Refuge are looking for you! This key volunteer position plays an important role in sharing the wonders of the St. Marks NWR and its significant impact on wildlife conservation.  This can be a great job for a couple or 2 friends to share as well!

Key Responsibilities:

The Nature Store Manager coordinates all aspects of store operations and includes delegating or sharing responsibility for:

Scheduling volunteers to work the Friday, Saturday and Sunday shiftsRecruiting & training new volunteers in store operationSelecting new products, ordering & pricing inventory Deciding how to display productsReconciling the store register and making the weekly depositMonthly report to the Friends bookkeeper
