Responsibilities: Teach fundamental concepts of music theory to students, including notation, scales, chords, rhythm, and melody. Conduct engaging lessons that cater to various skill levels and learning styles. Instruct students in proper keyboard technique, posture, and hand placement. Guide students in practicing vocalization, harmonizing, and singing along with keyboard playing. Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills and musicianship. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel encouraged to explore their musical abilities. Collaborate with other instructors and volunteers to coordinate group activities, performances, and recitals.
Requirements: Proficiency in playing the keyboard/piano and a strong understanding of music theory. Experience working with youth in a teaching or mentoring capacity is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for music education.
