SHINE stands for Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders.
As a SHINE volunteer, you will receive professional training and will serve your community by performing a variety of the following functions:
* Providing Medicare and health insurance information, counseling, and assistance in person or over the phone, or at the SHINE office; * Offering educational presentations and tabling events and distributing educational and promotional materials; * Providing training and leadership to other volunteers; * Assisting with general program support. We have volunteer positions available that need your time and talents throughout our service area. Training will be provided.
