Interested in helping the CARE animals find their forever homes at adoption events or helping CARE with our fundraising efforts?  Throughout the year there are many opportunities to volunteer with our special events, from the Springtime Tallahassee Parade and Dog-O-Ween to the Take Me Home event and Casino Night - there is always something fun & meaningful on the horizon.  We'd love to have you on the team!

If you are interested in volunteering for CARE please complete a volunteer application at: www.CAREinTallahassee.org.  All volunteers are required to attend an orientation session prior to their first shift.  These orietations are held three times per year.  If your application is approved, the volunteer coordinator will contact you with an invitation to orientation. 

All volunteers for CARE must be over 18 years of age.  

CARE is not able to accomodate court-ordered community service volunteers.

Advocate: Partners for Tobacco Free Leon

The Tobacco Free Leon partnership works to create tobacco free environments, for all to enjoy. Through policy work on issues such as: flavored tobacco, tobacco free schools, smoke-free housing, employer cessation and tobacco point of sale advertisement education. Through our youth tobacco prevention program, Students Working Against Tobacco (SWAT), we are able to reach youth of all ages with a tobacco free message. We are always looking for community members to help us spread the message and encourage tobacco policy changes.
