Communications & Public Relations Coordinator – Be the Voice and Vision of STEMS4Girls!
Are you a strong communicator with a creative eye and a passion for storytelling? STEMS4Girls is seeking a Communications & Public Relations Coordinator to help shape and share our story with the world. In this volunteer role, you’ll lead the development of our brand presence, manage our social media platforms, and oversee content that celebrates and promotes our mission. This is an excellent opportunity for a communications professional, marketing student, or creative volunteer who’s ready to build experience, lead a small team, and make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage our social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, etc.), including consistent posting, audience engagement, and analytics
- Attend STEMS4Girls events to capture high-quality photos and video content for promotional use
- Develop and maintain our quarterly newsletter, including collecting stories, designing layout, and distributing to supporters
- Oversee the creation of thank-you notes, press releases, and event announcements
- Collaborate with the Marketing Strategist to align messaging across all platforms
- Ensure branding is consistent across all communication channels, from flyers to the website
- Build and lead a small communications team to assist with ongoing tasks
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong writing, editing, and content creation skills
- Is comfortable with or eager to learn platforms like Canva, Mailchimp, Instagram, Facebook, or Squarespace
- Has a great eye for photography and enjoys capturing real-time moments
- Can commit to attending events regularly to document and promote our work Is highly organized, self-motivated, and enjoys leading projects and small teams
Your work will define the public image of STEMS4Girls, help us celebrate the stories of the girls we serve, and build stronger ties with our community, supporters, and partners.
