We are looking for volunteers for Season of Emancipation on Friday, May 20, 2016 - Saturday, May 21, 2016.
That’s right around the corner! We need volunteers for this historically important event! This event, which is one of our biggest events of the year, commemorates the announcement of the Emancipation Proclamation with a reading, local dignitaries, performers and reenactors. This year marks the 151st year since the announcement was made to free the slaves of north Florida. There will be free music and lunch in Lewis Park.
Volunteers are needed to help set-up, greet visitors to the park, hand out fans, work at the refreshment stand, serve lunch, hand out surveys, help staff inside the house, and clean-up. Volunteers get a chance to eat a free lunch and watch the event. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please sign-up at
