This Saturday June 20th at 6:30am, Farm Share will be delivering a semi-tractor trailer full of food to the Leon County Fairgrounds for a major giveaway hosted by Commissioner Bill Proctor, Sheriff McNeil, Cumulus Media, Teresa Berger, Capital Chamber of Commerce and Living Stones.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could arrive at the fairgrounds Saturday between 6:30am-7:00am to breakdown over 30,000 lbs of food, drinks, etc. Volunteers, please enter fairgrounds at Gene Cox Stadium 601 Paul Russell Rd entrance for parking. Those families seeking food and masks will enter and line up at fairgrounds entrance on South Monroe St. Cars in line will receive free mask 1st then drive thru for food items then exit at Cox Stadium. Please bring masks, gloves, comfortable shoes, shade hats and sunscreen.
Also, voter registration will be onsite, so please let folks know. Volunteers, your time and energy is needed Saturday because of large amount of food to share with our community. We can’t do this without your faithful service.
