The City of Tallahassee Neighborhood Affairs Division is seeking volunteers to help conduct a community assessment for its Neighborhood Public Safety Initiative. The resident-based initiative seeks to address public safety by focusing on volunteerism, crime prevention and education; and community beautification and empowerment.The initiative is spearheaded by the Public Safety Collective; a group made up of the Tallahassee Police Department, Leon County Sheriff's Office, the State Attorney’s Office, Big Bend Crime Stoppers, Tallahassee Fire Department and the police departments from Florida State University, Florida A&M University and Tallahassee Community College.
 
The community assessment is scheduled to take place next Saturday, October 28 in the Frenchtown/Griffin Heights neighborhood. Please visit the link to register if you are available.
