We are looking for volunteers to help Big Bend Cares sort food items, and give it out on Friday, August 26th from 1pm-5pm (approx).
Second Harvest will be delivering deli, bakery, and dairy products to our office between 11-2. We will then go through the food, removing inedible food, and sorting the rest into bundles. At 3pm, we will begin giving out the food to community members as they drive up. Until we run out of food, we will need some volunteers to hand out surveys to recipients and then give tickets, and some to take the tickets and give out the bundles. We will go no later than 5pm. Groups and individuals are welcome to join! I can sign off on community service hours or print volunteer hours on letterhead for those who need.
