Looking for enthusiastic and friendly volunteers to help Big Bend Cares sort food items, and give it out on Friday, May 27th from 1pm-5pm (approx).
Second Harvest will be delivering deli, bakery, and dairy products to our office between 11-1. We will then go through the food, removing inedible food, and sorting the rest into bundles. At 3pm, we will begin giving out the food to people as they drive up. Until we run out of food, we will need some volunteers to hand out surveys to recipients and then give tickets, and some to take the tickets and give out the bundles. In total, we would like at least 8 volunteers. We will go no later than 5pm, but will most likely finish a little sooner than that.
