The Rotary Club of Tallahassee and community partners invite neighbors county-wide to join us as we host a youth service impact day on Monday, January 17, 2022 from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Lake Anita/Anita Favors Plaza off FAMU Way. Participating youth will earn 2 service hours for participation in this event and precautions will be activated to protect participants from COVID transmission. Participants of the MLK 1000 Youth in service event are asked to arrive at Lake Anita by 9 am prepared for a short pre-service day pep rally and light breakfast. Participants will be assigned to a service team leader and instructed on their task. Once completed, lunch from a local food truck and music will be provided for participants. Middle and high-school aged youth welcome. This MLK 1,000 Youth in Service event is coordinated by Southside Rotarian Dr. Willie Williams of WillPower Innovation Network, LLC and is hosted in partnership with the City of Tallahassee, FL - Government, Leon County Sheriff's Office, City of Tallahassee Police Department, Leon County Schools and the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Big Bend.
