Volunteer: Front Desk VolunteerBig Bend Cares is seeking volunteers to work our front desk on a weekly basis. Duties include greeting clients, protecting client confidentiality, distributing food bags, communicating with staff members, general office support, and more. An hour-long volunteer orientation will be scheduled with other accepted volunteers before starting. An ideal volunteer is good with people and able to commit to doing the same shift every week. If you need to do court-ordered hours, we will need documentation of your case before we can approve, but we can usually accommodate that need. Regular volunteering is only available Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, no weekends or evenings. We do have special event volunteering opportunities, however, so register if you'd like to be on the list to get info about those too.
