This involves decorating three horse and buggy carriages with banners, lights, holiday ornaments, and decorations. The carriages are used for Parade VIPs.

These characters are to be animated in action and are in a non-speaking role while in costume. The characters will be on stage during the Lighting Ceremony with the Mayor and special Winter Festival guests; involved in the Jingle Bell Run, Parade, and roving throughout the festival area in the evening.

You are the eyes - the heads on the costimes have limited vision! Additionally, you are the voice - Costume characters are in non speaking role while in costume. You will alert the Costime Character of any potential hazards (flashbulbs, clurbs, barricades, and objects in the walk way)

This involves crowd control for race participants; passing out race packerts; and registration of participants.

Two people are needed per banner. Volunteers will walk the length of the parade - approximately one mile - carrying banners for special guests (mayor, major sponsors, city commissioners, etc).

Parade preparation by assisting with equipment; placing of staging area numbers and information on street; assisting in lining up parade entries.

This involves crowd control, speed up and speed down signals, etc

The City of Tallahassee-Parks and Recreation is looking for volunteers to take part in the annual Santa Calling by making phone calls on December 15th, 5:30-8:30 p.m. The deadline for participation is December 2nd.

This involves placing parade entries in their correct position in the line up; checking parade numbers; helps main proper spacing between entries; removal of permits.
