Volunteer Opportunity: Office Support with Capital Area Healthy Start Coalition

The Capital Area Healthy Start Coalition is looking for dedicated volunteers to assist us with day-to-day tasks around the office. Volunteers will help with activities such as organizing materials, preparing outreach packets, making phone calls, data entry, and other light administrative projects that keep our programs running smoothly.

This is a great opportunity for individuals who want to support maternal and infant health in our community while gaining hands-on experience in a nonprofit office setting.

The Sister Friends Tallahassee Birthing Project, a Capital Area Healthy Start Program, is seeking Sister Friends volunteers to provide one-on-one support to a pregnant teen or woman to help her identify and stay in prenatal care, access other resources, and understand how to be a good parent.

 

Duties: Caring listener with a desire to work with women and families. Compassion and commitment are an absolute must.

 

Time Commitment: Approximately 10 hours per month until baby turns 12 months old (approx. 18 months).
