Hello Leon Volunteers!
If you are interested in helping children, birth to five years old, have the opportunity to have access to books in their homes to help prepare them with school readiness skills before entering kindergarten, please RSVP to attend this Community Action Team virtual meeting via Zoom!
Tuesday, September 29th, 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm via Zoom
We will be introducing our new Team Leader, Margaret Wright! This meeting will also be a planning session on how we will raise funds ($2000) to ensure we can start mailing books to our final Kids Incorporated Center - Pamela Davis. We currently mail books to the children at Budd Bell and Brandon's Place.
If you would like to help Margaret by holding an office, we are looking for a Co-Leader, Secretary and Social Media help. Also, if you have connections with any civic group or businesses who would like to sponsor children in Leon County, bring that information to the meeting. Word of mouth is going to be our best form of communication during this time of social distancing!
