Our mission at GOOD SPORTS - USA is to Leverage diverse community partnerships that Empower, Grow and Advance Challenged Communities and at-risk Youth in order to provide them with access to resources and opportunities that support their health, social, educational. professional and employment/ career development.
At Good Sports - USA we transfer at risk youth interest and motivation for sports & entertainment into the opportunity for learning.
Good Sports - USA provides at risk youth mentoring: homework/tutoring, values, character, social/life skills development, teen Mental Health First Aid, Science Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) awareness, financial literacy training, Employment process awareness and employ-ability hard/ soft skills awareness, as well as local excursions to local businesses, educational, religious institutions/ entertainment venues.
Good Sports - USA program services is supported through community volunteers that include peer mentors (ages 15 - 18) young adult college/ volunteer mentors (ages 18 - 26) adult/ former sports/ entertainment professionals (ages 26 - older) mentors who specialize in motivational speak/ encouraging rules compliance, classroom participation, homework completion and exam performance - please visit our website to volunteer.
Good Sports - USA seeks to deliver evidenced based youth mentoring program services in accordance with the Office of Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention model program services guidelines and best practices.
